Bekabadcement JSC is a cement plant, one of the first industrial productions in Uzbekistan. The plant produces high-quality cement for the construction of airport sites, highways, residential buildings, and various facilities. The production capacity of the enterprise exceeds 1.8 million tons of cement per year. The plant is located in Bekabad, Tashkent region.
Using the products of Bekabadcement JSC, Nurek and Farkhad hydroelectric power stations, Ferghana and Syrdarya thermal power stations, Tashkent airport, Shurtan gas chemical complex and many other large energy and industrial enterprises were built.
The first production site with a capacity of 20 thousand tons of cement was founded in 1914, and in 1926 the Khilkovo cement plant was founded on its basis. In the early 1960s, a complete reconstruction of the enterprise was carried out, a 150 m long rotary kiln was built and production was gasified. For the first time in the cement industry of the USSR, radioactive isotopes were used to control and manage the production of clinker, and the production of new fast-hardening types of cement was mastered.
Currently, the total capacity of JSC “Bekabadcement” is 1.8 million tons of cement per year, about 70% of which falls on the dry production line. Limestone from the Balykli-Tau deposit (Jizzakh region) is used for production. The company also has its own loess-like loam quarry in the Syrdarya region. The company operates its own fleet of trucks, truck cranes, loaders, dump trucks and rolling stock of dump cars for transporting limestone.
The company implemented and certified a quality management system that meets the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2000, which was later recertified according to ISO 9001:2015. The company has repeatedly received international awards and prizes, confirming the high quality of its products. The company’s management pays increased attention to the constant monitoring of the quality indicators of raw materials, clinker, finished products and the development of the production and testing department.
