United Cement Group acquires a 100% ownership interest in Bukhtarma Cement Company

On 1 October 2026, United Cement Group (UCG) completed the acquisition of a 100% ownership interest in Bukhtarma Cement Company LLP (Bukhtarma Cement), one of Kazakhstan’s leading cement producers.

The transaction forms part of UCG’s long-term strategy to develop production capacity in Kazakhstan, introduce modern technologies and supply the domestic market with high-quality construction materials.

The next stage — a new dry-process production line

The next stage in the company’s development will be the construction of a new dry-process production line with a capacity of 3,000 tonnes of clinker per day.

The project aims to improve the company’s energy and technological efficiency and establish a foundation for further growth in cement output.

Cement for complex engineering challenges

CEM I 52.5 N holds a special place in Bukhtarma Cement’s product range. Today, the company is the only plant in Kazakhstan that produces cement of this strength class on a regular industrial scale.

CEM I 52.5 N is used to manufacture high-strength concrete for critical structures and major industrial and infrastructure facilities where construction materials must meet stringent strength requirements.

United Cement Group intends to invest consistently in the modernisation of Bukhtarma Cement, the introduction of modern technologies and the development of its product range. The acquisition strengthens the group’s presence in Kazakhstan and expands its ability to supply construction projects across the country.
