On February 9, an open dialogue was held under the leadership of Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with entrepreneurs engaged in economic cooperation with Central Asian countries. The event brought together more than 30 representatives of leading regional companies, including United Cement Group — one of the largest industrial holdings in the field of construction materials production in Central Asia.
During the meeting, key issues related to the development of regional economic cooperation were discussed, including measures to increase export volumes, launch joint investment projects, and expand the presence of Uzbek companies in the markets of Central Asian countries.
As an integrated industrial holding with assets in the cement and construction industries, United Cement Group consistently implements its strategy aimed at strengthening interregional cooperation, developing export potential, and localizing production in Central Asian countries. Participation in such dialogue platforms enables the holding to directly contribute to the formation of sustainable supply chains for construction materials and the development of systemic solutions for the industry.
Within the framework of the open dialogue, entrepreneurs raised a number of practical issues arising in the course of exporting products, including border crossing procedures, optimization of transportation costs, and improvement of state support instruments for exporters. It was emphasized that coordinated solutions based on existing bilateral and multilateral mechanisms are necessary to ensure stable and predictable supplies.
Special attention was paid to the prospects for establishing joint ventures in neighboring countries, primarily in the construction materials production sector. Business representatives highlighted the importance of utilizing financial instruments and the opportunities offered by joint development funds to implement large-scale industrial projects capable of strengthening industrial cooperation in the region.
By the end of 2025, mutual trade turnover between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries amounted to USD 8,284.6 million, demonstrating a 15.2% increase, which confirms the strong potential for further integration and expansion of economic cooperation in the region.
Following the meeting, a responsible official from the Ministry was personally assigned to each initiative proposed by entrepreneurs, bearing personal responsibility for their timely and high-quality implementation.
United Cement Group views dialogue with government institutions and the regional business community as an integral part of its long-term sustainable development strategy aimed at strengthening the industrial potential of Central Asia and shaping a unified economic space in the construction materials sector.
